COURSE DESIGNER

Commitment Level: ★★★★☆

As a course designer, you will be creating courses for competitors. This position has a pretty high commitment level as you will be asked to create one course per level, per specialty. We are hoping to have enough course creators that the work will be lightened for everyone.

To Apply: Fill out a Course Designer application. Then, send us a course design for the specialties and levels you would like to specialize in.

COURSE DESIGNERS: 1/∞

HUNTER JUDGE

Commitment Level: ★★☆☆☆

As a hunter judge, we would like for you to have some personal experience in the specialty.

Hunters are to be judged strictly on form, and judges may be nit-picky the higher the level is. Judges must also check that competitors don't go off course, knock poles, compete with broken tack, or go slower than the gait allowance.

To Apply: Fill out a Hunter Judge application. Next, you will be asked to judge a rider going through a hunter course.

HUNTER JUDGES: 2/3

AMBASSADOR

Commitment Level: ★☆☆☆☆

**Coming Soon**

Ambassadors are competing members who are passionate about hobby horses. Ambassadors are featured on our Instagram as well as our website.

Your job as an ambassador is to promote HHIEA.

DRESSAGE JUDGE

Commitment Level: ★★☆☆☆

Dressage judges will require knowledge of how dressage judging works. They will be required to use official HHIEA dressage sheets (which will be publicized in the coming weeks). They must also check for inappropriate tack (ie, jumper bridle when guidelines strictly said dressage) and broken tack.

To Apply: Fill out a Dressage Judge application. Next, you will be asked to judge 3 dressage choreographs using these sheets. Depending on your feedback, you may be accepted or declined.

DRESSAGE JUDGES: 2/3

JUMPER JUDGE

Commitment Level: ★★☆☆☆

The work of a jumper judge is quite easy. Judges must have a keen eye for any penalties. This includes starting the timer at the right time, checking footage to make sure riders do not go off-course, go slower than the gait allowance, or have any broken tack.

To Apply: Fill out a Jumper Judge application. Next, you will be asked to judge 3 riders going through a jumper course.
